Journey Church Havelock and Baptist on Mission- August 4-9

Our Partners: Baptist On Mission is part of our North Carolina Baptist network. Your Cooperative Program dollars help with rebuilds all over our state and country. We will partner with the local team to assist families who have been affected by Hurricane Florence. Our hosts, Mark and Joy Picket are dedicated to building relationships with residents in the New Bern and surrounding areas who have been displaced or affected by adverse conditions. Most of the families we are helping lost all or part of their homes. Some need insulation under their mobile home, repairs on porches or interiors, handicapped ramps or painting. We will work to restore hope and dignity to these families and share the love of Jesus and look for opportunities to share the gospel while we update their homes.

Journey Church, Havelock- Pastor David Mills and his wife Ellen are serving the community of Craven County through Journey Church. Our partnership with Journey is into its third year! We have assisted in renovating the current property and celebrating opening the doors after Covid! We will be providing their first community Bible School to many military families and a large ethnically diverse neighborhood. We start VBS on Monday night and our Family celebration is on Thursday night. We head back to Morganton following Breakfast on Friday!
